A jet of water

jetofwaterCurrently hanging in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Francis Bacon‘s Jet of Water (1988) seems an aberration. None of the dozens of other works in the retrospective depict water–lots of blood, yeah, but no water. It’s a fabulous exhibit, but not for the weak of heart, stomach, or knees. Nor anyone offended by screaming popes.
